Shush pat method sleep training9/25/2023 ![]() I'm sure all of these things help, but they weren't necessary for us. There are so many rules! Getting daytime sleep fixed before sleep training, not picking baby up when you go in to soothe, 20-30 minute evening routines, precise numbers of minutes between going in baby's room, etc. I spent so much time researching sleep training methods so wanted to share my experience in case it's helpful for anyone. My baby won't take a bottle so I've had to do all of the night feeds, and I went back to work a few weeks ago. I was hesitant to try it but the four month sleep regression hit us HARD and for the past two months I've been more and more sleep deprived. I live in the UK where sleep training seems to be more controversial than the US. If you have other suggestions for resources, message our moderators.
